Making Appointments

All consultations are by appointment only, usually for ten minutes, but please tell us if you feel you will need more time. Appointments can be made by telephoning or calling in to the Practice. Please make sure you book an appointment to avoid the disappointment of not being able to be seen immediately. Please give as much notice as possible when cancelling an appointment as it may be given to someone else. Please also let us know if you think you will be late. Patients more that 10 minutes late will need to make an alternative appointment to come back at a later time.

Urgent Appointments

If you require an appointment, which requires urgent treatment/advice, you will be offered a telephone consultation with one of our clinicians, who will assess the urgency. Urgent cases will be seen on the same day but please note that this may not be with the clinician of your choice. If you have an urgent problem please inform the Patient Support Worker. Brief details of the issue help us to prioritise your call. She will organise for you to have the next available appointment.

Home Visits

If you are housebound and feel you need a home visit we would ask that this be requested by 11.00 am. The Lead Nurse will return your call to assess the need for a visit and enable appropriate care to be given.

Out of Hours

If you require a doctor in an emergency when the health centre is not open simply phone the Out of Hours service on 0845 6033131.

Accident & Emergency Department

The accident department at North Tees General Hospital (Tel 0844 811 8222) is open day and night. You can attend the hospital within 24 hours of the accident occurring.
